What data stays in your browser

The following data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and never leaves your device:

• Your Anthropic API key (if you choose to add one)
• Your reply history and daily count
• Your daily goal setting

What data is stored locally but sent when generating replies

The following data is stored in your browser but is sent to our server when you use the free tier to generate a reply. It is never stored on our server and is discarded immediately after use:

• Your profile information (role, tools, posting voice, goal)
• Your favourite replies (used as style examples)

What our server receives

When you use the free tier (3 replies per day), the following is sent to our backend server to generate replies:

• The tweet text you paste into the extension
• Your selected tone
• Your profile information (if set, to personalise replies)
• Your favourite replies (if saved, used as style examples)
• Your IP address (used solely for rate limiting — 3 requests per day)

We do not store tweet text, profile information, or favourite replies on our server. They are used only to generate your reply and are discarded immediately after.

Your IP address is stored with a daily request count to enforce the rate limit. This resets daily and is not linked to any personal information.

Bring Your Own API Key

If you add your own Anthropic API key, reply generation happens directly between your browser and Anthropic's API. Our server is not involved at all. Your API key is stored in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Third-party services

When using the free tier, your tweet text and profile context are sent to Anthropic's API to generate replies. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.

When using your own API key, the same data is sent to Anthropic directly from your browser under your own API agreement with Anthropic.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any account information
• We do not track your browsing activity
• We do not use cookies or analytics
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties
• We do not serve advertisements

Your control

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. You can also clear individual data (profile, favourites, API key) from within the extension itself.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
